Really. Who could be bothered reviewing their day. Not my kids... and until now, not me either.
For a while now I have been meaning to institute the practice of reviewing each day. Taking 5-10min to think through how the day went, notice what habits I'm forming, remain aware of what I'm actually spending my weeks doing. But I never got into the groove - partly because it seems too fiddly to bother doing at the end of the day. But recently I've been playing with the WORKFLOW app on my phone/ipad (see at bottom of page).
I've used WORKFLOW to created an automated workflow that works like a custom app on my ipad.
After launching, it automatically guides me through my daily review in the following steps:
i) asks me some key (customised) questions about my day
ii) allows me to export 3 key customised todo items to my productivity app of choice - "Things" app
iii) automatically collates it all into a journal entry - using "Day One" Journal app
If you already use the WORKFLOW app. feel free to download my "Evening Review" workflow:
When we pray in community groups, it can often be a challenge to move beyond whatever "random" prayer requests happen to spring to mind .
A selection of graphics I've knocked together for sermon series.
Most of the graphics use creative commons licenses. Some of the graphics use images I've purchased licenses for.
I'm happy to email you the original files to re-use, and re-edit yourself. For some of the series I have additional graphics for each sermon in the series.
***Just email me before using any images so I can confirm if any license restrictions apply - usually they wont.
In about 2009 I put together a mission package to encourage Fairfield and Bossley Park churches to think more deliberately about how to reach the city in which we lived. I'd do a few things differently if I were to do it again. However, it did lead to planting a new church and a bunch of other new mission ideas.
Linked below are the promo-video (bit dated now) and bible study series to get us exploring new ways to reach Fairfield with the timeless gospel.
